Kids' Parties at St Nicholas Barn

St Nicholas Barn makes a great choice for a low-cost children's party in Worcester. This type of venue offers you maximum flexibility to plan your celebration your own way, however you will most likely have to take care of many of the arrangements youself, including catering.

Our beautiful church hall (known as ?The Barn?) has been restored and modernised to provide a venue suitable for a wide range of activities. The Barn is suitable for groups such as pre-schools, fitness, meetings, and parties, and family gatherings.

The Barn sits within the picturesque grounds of the small white 8th century parish church of St. Nicholas, which is in an elevated position overlooking Warndon Villages and beyond. The church is easy to spot as you exit the motorway at jn 6, but as it sits right on the edge of Warndon Villages, and overlooks the countryside, it has feel and appearance of a secluded country church. It makes an ideal venue for summer parties, as your guests are welcome to make use of the churchyard (grass and mature trees), and children are able to play in the grounds safely as the church is at the end of a dead-end lane where there is no passing traffic.

The church has its own car park with safe parking, and is well situated for bus services which stop at the bottom of the lane (10 mins walk). The train station is 3 miles away, in the centre of Worcester. There is a restaurant/pub (Beefeater) and Premier Inn within easy walking distance if you don?t fancy driving home after your event.

The church and hall were renovated about 20 years ago as part of the development of Warndon Villages, and the Barn has full modern kitchen facilities including a cooker, fridge, water boiler, and also plates, bowls, cups & crockery. There is a disabled toilet, as well as baby changing facilities.

The main hall has a capacity of approx. 40/50 people, and there are 2 small rooms, one of which is suitable as a meeting/breakout/dressing room. Additionally, there is another room on the first floor which is suitable for meetings or additional party space. This room is only accessible from fairly steep stairs on the outside of the building, and may not be suitable for small children or people with bad knees!

The Barn was renovated as a community facility so we try to keep prices as reasonable as possible to ensure that it is accessible to anyone who would like to use it.
